Two shows featuring Lansing Community College students, hosted by Melissa Ford Lucken. Both offer a showcase of the creativity, craft, and critical thinking happening inside LCC classrooms.

Off the Page: From Ink to Air

Students share creative writing. Through individual readings and conversations with their peers, they discuss their processes and explore their work.

Students come from Creative Writing I, Writer in the Marketplace, and Writing the Novel, where they practice voice development, drafting, revision, workshopping, and publication practices. More on the teaching page.

Off the Page: Discourse and Discussion

Students share scholarly research and writing. Through individual presentations and conversations with their peers, they discuss their intellectual journeys and connect their work to real-world issues and communities.

Students come from Composition I, where they practice argumentation, research, audience awareness, close reading, and giving and receiving feedback.
